Pathological expansion of hemorrhoidal veins and the formation of nodes in the anal canal are characteristic of hemorrhoids.
People facing this problem experience discomfort and are unable to lead a full life. The first symptoms of the disease often go unnoticed or are ignored. This leads to progression of the disease.
False embarrassment and fear that hemorrhoids cannot be treated without surgery are additional factors that prevent you from visiting a proctologist.
Preparing the plant
Biogenic stimulants that guarantee the expected treatment of hemorrhoids with aloe are produced under unfavorable environmental conditions.
A few weeks before cutting, the plant is placed in a place hidden from sunlight, and the frequency of watering is reduced. After trimming, the leaves should be placed in the refrigerator for a day. To convert a leaf into a dosage form, it is important to comply with the following requirements:
- The sheet should have a length of 15 centimeters. A piece cut from a long leaf is preferable for treatment to a whole piece, but a short one.
- When choosing between infusion and decoction, give preference to the latter. The infusion is prepared by pouring boiling water over the leaves and leaving for 20 minutes. When exposed to high temperatures, some of the beneficial substances die. The decoction is made using the water bath method. The water is heated gradually, there is no direct contact with fire - the composition of the medicinal substance does not change.
Local impact on the problem
Swelling, pain, and inflammation of hemorrhoidal cones can be relieved using local treatment. Aloe extracts are used for applications, suppositories, tampons, microenemas, and sitz baths. To prepare the raw materials, large fleshy leaves of the plant are selected. Usually, the age of the agave depends on the size of the leaf: the older the plant, the more useful substances it has accumulated.
The juice is squeezed from freshly cut leaves. These plants are also used to prepare medicinal infusions. The prepared raw materials are poured with boiling water and left for up to 20 minutes.
You can prepare a decoction
aloe in a water bath. In this recipe you need to take half a liter of water. Several washed and crushed agave feathers are placed in a saucepan of water and placed on a double boiler or other container with boiling water.
Leave the broth in a water bath for 15 minutes, stirring regularly. This method allows you to preserve the maximum of nutrients.
How to use aloe in the fight against hemorrhoids?
What suppositories are recommended for bleeding hemorrhoids?
Aloe vera for hemorrhoids is especially effective in the initial stages, and it acts more gently than some traditional drugs, for example, Vishnevsky's balsamic liniment and heparin ointment.
Aloe juice during remission of hemorrhoids can be used as a moisturizer for the anal skin after anal hygiene. During the period of acute symptoms, using compresses and lotions with this plant can alleviate the condition and speed up recovery.
Aloe heals damaged nodes and cracks, which stops bleeding, and also strengthens the vascular walls.
Aloe treatment is especially useful during the recovery period after anal surgery, since this plant increases the regenerative abilities of tissues and accelerates their healing.
Treatment of hemorrhoids with aloe can be carried out in several ways, namely:
- compresses;
- lotions;
- candles;
- applications;
- ingestion.
Aloe juice for hemorrhoids - healing nectar
Drinking aloe juice internally effectively eliminates constipation, and also improves the elasticity of blood vessels and increases their strength.
For treatment, it is necessary to choose large leaves of the plant (at least 30 cm), since they accumulate the largest amount of healing substances. If we talk about juice, then it needs to be squeezed out immediately before use. Also, for this you need to take only freshly cut aloe leaves.
Experts recommend drinking 5 ml of freshly squeezed aloe juice daily three times a day before meals. You can improve the taste of nectar by adding a little honey to it.
Aloe juice can also be used locally, making lotions and compresses with it, which will help relieve the unpleasant symptoms of external hemorrhoids.
To make a lotion, you need to soak a piece of gauze with aloe juice and apply it to the sore spot for 15-20 minutes. The procedure will be repeated several times a day until the hemorrhoids recede.
The compress is made in the same way as a lotion, only a piece of wax paper is placed on top of the gauze and fixed to the skin with a band-aid. The compress must be kept for at least 40 minutes.
For internal hemorrhoids and anal fissures, microenemas with aloe juice have proven effective.
Aloe decoction against hemorrhoids
The recipe for aloe decoction is very simple: cut two large leaves of the plant into several parts and pour in 300 ml of boiling water and simmer in a water bath for a quarter of an hour, then cool and filter. This drug can be used for various procedures, which we will discuss below.
Compresses
A piece of gauze, folded in several layers, is moistened with aloe decoction and placed over the anus, after which it is covered with wax paper, a layer of cotton wool and secured with a bandage. The compress can be left overnight. The procedure is carried out daily before bedtime throughout the entire period of acute symptoms of hemorrhoids.
Lotions
Lotions are great for emergency relief for pain and itching in the anus or bleeding. To do this, moisten a piece of gauze with aloe decoction and apply it to the painful nodes for 2-10 minutes. Lotions can be applied without restrictions until the pain goes away or the bleeding stops.
Earbuds
Cotton rectal pads help stop rectal bleeding, eliminate discomfort and pain in the rectum, and can also be used during the rehabilitation period after surgical treatment of hemorrhoids.
You can make an insert from cotton wool or use a regular feminine hygiene tampon, which is soaked in aloe decoction and inserted into the anus overnight. You should not take out the insert yourself, since you can damage the nodes; in the morning it will come out naturally during bowel movements.
Recipe for suppositories for hemorrhoids made from aloe
There are several ways to prepare suppositories for hemorrhoids with aloe, the most popular of which are the following:
- From a thick, freshly cut leaf of the plant, a small rectangular piece (3*4 cm) is cut out, from which the skin is cut off on one side. This piece of aloe is rolled into a tube, with the cut surface facing out, and inserted into the anus at night;
- aloe juice is poured into small cardboard cones and placed in the freezer until completely frozen. Ice suppositories with aloe nectar are inserted into the rectal canal for 10 seconds, gradually increasing their residence time inside the rectum to two minutes, but no longer. Using ice pads instantly relieves itching, soreness and bleeding.
Patient reviews
Valentina, 42 years old After two births, hemorrhoids began to bother me significantly. Sometimes there was slight bleeding, there was constant itching, it was impossible to go to the toilet without pain. The doctor prescribed painkillers for me. I decided to supplement their intake with lotions with aloe juice. I didn’t even expect that I would feel better so quickly: after 2 days, all the symptoms disappeared, and the nodes became much smaller. I'm glad I found a method that works for me.
Anatoly, 35 years old I regularly do weightlifting, and I never thought that this would lead me to the problem of hemorrhoids. A small nodule appeared six months ago, but only recently became a concern. It doesn't hurt, it just itches a lot. I decided to start treatment with traditional methods. I used aloe pulp as a compress. The itching went away completely after 6 days. I'm very pleased with the result.
Ruslan, 33 years old I decided to fight hemorrhoids with the help of aloe, having tried dozens of ointments and suppositories that gave virtually no effect. Since I have internal nodes, I chose to treat with homemade aloe suppositories. Very good result. The nodes no longer fall out after defecation, the pain and itching are gone. Now I will only use aloe to treat my problem.
Of course, it is not possible to completely cure hemorrhoids, especially those that are older, with aloe vera alone. In the fight against this disease, it is important to use complex treatment, each component of which should be agreed upon with a proctologist. Aloe therapy in this case is a good addition to traditional methods.
How to use, instructions for use
How to use the drug hepazolon for hemorrhoids?
During the treatment of hemorrhoids, aloe can be used as an oral remedy. Simply put, consume it raw as food. This plant has a laxative effect, and with soft stools, the intestinal mucosa is not so much injured during bowel movements. To do this, the juice made from it should be taken 1 tsp. 3 times a day half an hour before meals.
Aloe is an effective remedy that makes it possible to eliminate hemorrhoids at the initial stage of their occurrence. Quite often it is used as a means for external use in combination with honey. To do this you need:
- Prepare a mixture of honey and butter at the rate of 1 tablespoon of honey per 3 grams of butter.
- Take a small piece of aloe pulp and coat it with the pre-made mixture.
- Insert the pulp into the anus for no more than 30 minutes.
When using this method, the pain caused by hemorrhoids disappears almost instantly. This procedure must be done twice a day, in the morning and before bed.
During the course of treatment, aloe can also be used in the form of a compress, decoction, lotions or suppositories. These methods perfectly relieve pain and swelling. Also, the use of compresses and lotions can quickly stop emerging bleeding.
It is necessary to use leaves that are at least 15 centimeters long. This is due to the fact that it is the leaves of this length that contain a large amount of useful and nutrients.
When preparing tinctures, you need to take leaves that have been well washed in warm water and pour boiling water over them. Then you need to put the tincture in a warm place for 30 minutes. But it should be noted that when using boiling water, a certain part of the biologically active enzymes that are present in the juice of this plant dies.
To prepare the decoction, you need to take no more than five pre-crushed leaves and add water to them. The amount of water used should not exceed 500 milliliters. The decoction must be prepared exclusively in enamel containers using a water bath. It cooks in 15 minutes. During preparation, the broth must be thoroughly mixed.
One of the most effective ways to treat hemorrhoids are compresses made from aloe decoctions. To prepare a compress you need:
- Take gauze or a thick bandage.
- Soak the gauze in the broth.
- Apply to the anus.
- Cover with waterproof material, such as cellophane.
This compress can be used several times a day. It is preferable to use it after bowel movements. The compress is applied to the inflamed area of the mucous membrane for no more than 45 minutes.
Lotions are used in much the same way as compresses. The only difference is that gauze soaked in the broth does not need to be additionally covered with cellophane, and the period of its use is no more than 5 minutes.
To localize inflammatory processes that can form in the area of the final part of the rectum, tampons should be used. To prepare them, you need to take a bandage and moisten it with a decoction or tincture. Then it needs to be twisted into a tube and inserted into the anus. The duration of this procedure is 15 minutes. It can be done several times in one day.

Rules for using aloe for prostatitis
Recipes and uses of knotweed for hemorrhoids: what are the benefits?
Aloe or agave is known for its anti-inflammatory and restorative properties, due to which it is used in the treatment of a number of diseases. The unique composition allows the plant to be used in the treatment of prostatitis in men. Let's look at how to drink aloe correctly, give useful recipes and tell you about contraindications.
Recipes with aloe for prostatitis
With a competent approach, treatment should begin with a visit to the doctor and examination
It is important to accurately establish the diagnosis, and also to make sure that there are no contraindications to the use of agave juice. It is good to find out the doctor’s opinion about treatment with this plant; it is possible that it is not compatible with therapy tactics or, on the contrary, in certain doses will enhance it
To prepare dosage forms, it is recommended to take the bottom leaf of aloe. It has a bluish color, fleshy, and contains the most active ingredients. However, parts of a younger plant can also be used. The main thing is to remove the skin, which causes bitterness and can cause unpleasant symptoms.
Aloe with honey
A unique recipe in which the beneficial properties of the plant are enhanced by honey. The beekeeping product has a strong antimicrobial effect, so it will be useful in the treatment of bacterial prostatitis.
Cooking method:
- Wash 500 g of aloe leaf thoroughly, remove the skin and pass through a meat grinder.
- Add 500 ml of red wine and the same amount of linden or acacia honey.
- Stir, transfer to a glass jar and cover with a nylon lid.
- Keep in the refrigerator for a week.
- Using gauze, squeeze the juice into a separate container.
To treat prostatitis and prostate adenoma, drink a teaspoon in the morning, lunch and evening. After 7 days, increase the dosage to one tablespoon. After 2 weeks, take a break for 7 days, then resume the course.
Honey can cause serious allergic reactions. Before treatment with this remedy, you need to take an allergy test for bee products.
Infusion for lotions
If, due to some illness, you cannot drink aloe with honey, lotions will help out. With the exception of allergic reactions to the plant, this recipe has no contraindications. Preparing the infusion is easy if you follow the following recipe:
- Take equal parts of chamomile and elecampane inflorescences.
- Mix, measure out a tablespoon of the composition.
- Pour a glass of boiling water.
- Add a tablespoon of chopped aloe leaf.
- Leave for 2-3 hours, then strain.
You need to soak gauze or bandage in the infusion and apply it to the perineal area. This recipe has a weak effect, but is suitable for almost all men. It’s good to make lotions at night, in this case the effect is a little stronger.
Another way to treat aloe prostatitis is to eat the leaves themselves without pre-treatment. However, only men who do not have any problems with the stomach or cardiovascular system can be treated this way.
Aloe suppositories and injections
In medicine, rectal suppositories containing aloe extract are used. They do not have a direct effect on the prostate gland, but they help fight constipation during prostatitis, thereby improving blood microcirculation in the prostate and eliminating unnecessary pressure on it.
For these purposes, you can buy Aloe DN suppositories. According to the instructions for use, place one suppository rectally before bedtime. In order not to harm yourself and place the candle correctly, you need to follow the rules.
- The most optimal position for administering the drug is lying on your side, with your legs bent at the knees.
- To facilitate insertion, you can apply Vaseline to the anus.
- The suppository is injected to a depth of 1-2 cm, after which they remain at rest for about 15 minutes.
No complications from the drug have been identified, but allergic reactions may occur. It is better to consult a doctor regarding the advisability of use.
Sometimes subcutaneous injections of agave extract, which can be bought at a pharmacy, have a good effect. This is a rather painful procedure that helps fight inflammatory processes and is prescribed, most often, for the treatment of chronic prostatitis.

Can aloe be used to treat hemorrhoids?
Patients often ask the proctologist whether it is possible to treat hemorrhoids with aloe, how effective it is at home and whether it really helps. And they almost always get an affirmative answer. Yes, it is possible and even necessary, especially in the first stage, when the inflammation of the hemorrhoids is not yet so severe and there is almost no bleeding.
It has many properties that help relieve inflammation, as well as:
- quickly relieve pain and swelling;
- stop the bleeding;
- get rid of bacteria and infections;
- restore bowel function, eliminate constipation;
- strengthen the walls of blood vessels;
- stabilize blood flow;
- increase local immunity.
To treat both external and internal hemorrhoids, aloe vera folk remedies are also used in later stages. The ability to relieve painful symptoms is perhaps the main thing that patients like most. Therefore, reviews of the treatment of hemorrhoids with aloe are mostly positive.
Agave does not cause allergic reactions. Therefore, it is safely recommended externally for children and during pregnancy. The minimum of contraindications, mainly related to oral administration, allows it to be used by almost anyone.
Treatment of hemorrhoids with agave leaves involves both local application and ingestion of various tinctures and decoctions from it with the addition of other ingredients that are quite popular in folk medicine. The effectiveness of treating hemorrhoids with aloe has long been proven. But it is advisable to choose it together with a proctologist, based on individual characteristics, general condition, and stage of the disease.
To summarize, we can say that the biologically active substances of the plant are stimulants of vitality. In case of exacerbation, they stop the inflammatory process and relieve pain.
In chronic cases, they help prolong the time of remission, acting as a prophylactic agent. Useful in preparation for surgery and during the rehabilitation period after it.
Application and contraindications: when is it better to see a doctor?
Aloe can be an ideal remedy as part of a complex treatment of hemorrhoids at the initial stage, when the disease does not yet require surgical intervention. However, if the pain has become permanent, negatively affecting your general well-being, or bleeding has occurred during bowel movements and even after it, you should immediately consult a doctor.
There is no longer any talk of treating hemorrhoids with aloe juice at home; as soon as such symptoms begin, due to the increase in blood flow, it is unacceptable to treat the disease by consuming agave internally! And the external influence of drugs will only relieve the pain, but will not cure the disease.
The plant should not be taken internally in some other cases:
- Individual intolerance to substances contained in the plant.
- The presence of diseases accompanied by bleeding, including hemorrhoids.
- Severe stages of cardiovascular diseases.
- Exacerbation of gastrointestinal disorders and inflammation of the urinary tract.
- Oncological diseases (read about the composition of aloe, benefits and contraindications for oncological diseases here).
- For diseases in the acute stage of development.
Use the plant with caution during pregnancy, after consulting with your doctor.
Almost anyone can use aloe for external use if they do not have an allergic reaction to the plant. It is very important not to start the disease and consult a doctor promptly at the first signs of illness. It is recommended to use aloe if:
- itching and burning in the anal area;
- pain during bowel movements;
- drops of blood on linen.
How to use for fibroids?
To treat myomatous nodes, injections, tampons with aloe and medicine with agave for oral administration are used, of course, in combination with the main therapy.
Preparing tampons
- Wash your hands thoroughly.
- Cut off the lower and thickest leaf of a 3-5 year old plant, cut off a piece 2-3 cm in size, completely peel it (wrap the remaining piece of leaf in gauze and put it in the refrigerator until next use).
- Lubricate the resulting gel piece with honey and wrap it in a sterile bandage.
The pharmacy sells specially sterile bandages and gauze wipes. But if you haven’t bought these, then you can cut regular gauze or bandages into 10*10 cm napkins and place them in an oven preheated to 130 degrees for 15 minutes. Take them out, put them in a clean, alcohol-wiped jar and close tightly with a lid. Sterile gauze wipes are ready! - You can tie a gauze swab with aloe and honey with thread crosswise and make long ends to make the swab easier to remove (also sterilize the spool of thread in the oven).
- Insert the tampon into the vagina for 8 hours, course 10 days.
Injections
Pharmacies sell aloe in ampoules, which are most often used for injections. In the case of treatment of uterine fibroids, it is necessary to administer 1 ml of medication intramuscularly once a day. The course of treatment is usually 14 days.
Means for oral administration
- Cut 300 grams of aloe leaves into pieces and grind in a meat grinder.
- Place everything in a glass container.
- Add 600 grams of honey and 700 grams of Cahors.
- Let it brew in a dark, cool place for 5 days.
Eat 1 tbsp. 3 times a day half an hour before meals.
Candles with agave
Another practical and well-proven remedy in the fight against hemorrhoids is suppositories. It's easy to prepare them:
- Take a piece of aloe leaf, about 7 cm, and rinse with water.
- Remove all thorns.
- Cut lengthwise and turn the flesh out.
- Insert the resulting “suppository” into the rectum for 15 minutes.
On the pages of our portal there are articles about the treatment of tuberculosis, psoriasis, bronchitis, diseases of the throat, ear, joints, eyes, gynecological ailments, nose, stomach and intestines with the help of healing aloe.
Topical use of aloe
Topical use of aloe can relieve inflammation, as well as eliminate swelling and pain. The plant is used to create:
- warm and cold compresses;
- candles;
- tampons.
Aloe improves the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and normalizes the process of bowel movement.
To create any medicinal form, you need to select aloe leaves that are at least 16 cm in length. The size indicates his age. The older the leaf, the more useful microelements it has accumulated.
Aloe juice can be purchased at a pharmacy or collected independently from a houseplant. However, the flower needs special preparation. It is placed in a dark place and rarely watered
It is important that the sun's rays fall in small quantities
It is best to use freshly squeezed juice. Long-term storage is possible only in the form of a tincture. To prepare you need to take:
- 10 large aloe leaves;
- 150 ml boiling water.
To make medicinal preparations, you should choose large and mature leaves of the plant.
The components are mixed and left to cool. The disadvantage of this preparation method is the loss of some nutrients.
Compresses are also popular in the treatment of hemorrhoids. They are applied to the affected area for at least half an hour. To carry out the procedure, a piece of gauze is folded 6-8 times. The fabric is moistened in a pre-prepared decoction. The method is most effective in acute forms of the disease. Relieves inflammation almost instantly.
The lotions are a cold compress. The temperature of the broth used should be room temperature. Apply a piece of gauze for several minutes. It is strictly forbidden to keep it on the affected area for too long.
Aloe-based tampons are highly effective. To create them, gauze is twisted and placed in a decoction of the plant or its juice. Inject the product into the anus a couple of centimeters.
To improve overall well-being, it is useful to consume fresh plant juice daily.
Aloe candles are prepared from half a large leaf. It is washed under running water
It is important to cut off all existing thorns. Then make a longitudinal cut and turn the plant outward
The inner side should be in contact with the mucous membrane of the anus.
A natural suppository is inserted into the anal sphincter for half an hour. Then it is carefully removed. The procedure must be carried out daily.

Side effects
Aloe vera treatment for hemorrhoids does not cause any side effects. But keep in mind that allergies can occur even in the case of treatment with ready-made products that contain aloe vera; such products can be bought at the pharmacy.
All this indicates once again that you cannot self-medicate.
It is important to consult a proctologist and only after receiving approval to begin the course
When taking the plant internally, belching, heartburn, nausea, and mild pain in the epigastric region may occur.
Diarrhea and increased uterine tone are possible. Menstruation in women may increase, as this is due to the structure of the vessels of the uterus, where there is no muscle layer, and therefore aloe is not capable of causing bleeding in other organs.
The use of aloe for hemorrhoids is possible only in the early stages of the disease, but in other cases there is a high chance that the technique will be used as an addition to the main drug course of treatment.
And remember that in everything you need to know the norm. If you take the plant irregularly, it will help flush potassium from the body.
A similar effect can be detected after a month or six months.
We are all individual, and therefore it is important to be attentive to all signals from your body.
In conclusion, here are a few interesting clinical cases from our practice:
Constipation and... thyroid: where is the connection?
A young girl, 23 years old, contacted us. It turned out that she had been suffering from constipation for 1.5 years! Our doctor carefully interviewed the patient and found out that during pregnancy, 3 years ago, she was diagnosed with a dysfunction of the thyroid gland, but nothing bothered her and no treatment was carried out.
We examined her more thoroughly and found out that the cause of constipation was autoimmune thyroiditis - a common situation in women, when the body “attacks” its own thyroid gland, it is gradually destroyed and the level of hormones drops. One of the symptoms of autoimmune thyroiditis is constipation. Our endocrinologist prescribed treatment, the function of the thyroid gland returned to normal, and joint work with a gastroenterologist yielded results - the constipation went away.
Constipation and something else
A 67-year-old patient came to us with complaints of constipation. Laxatives didn't help. The doctor examined him, but found no significant abnormalities. However, the age and nature of the complaints were alarming, and the patient was sent for a detailed examination.
A blood test revealed a decrease in hemoglobin, an increase in ESR, and occult blood in the stool using the ultrasensitive Colon View test for occult blood in the stool. We performed a colonoscopy, an examination of the intestines using a flexible endoscope, and identified an intestinal tumor. Luckily, we made it on time.
The patient was successfully operated on and is under the supervision of a gastroenterologist and oncologist.
How to use
Aloe for hemorrhoids is recommended to be used in the form of juice, gel, decoctions, alcohol tinctures and suppositories. They can be made from one component, or they can be mixed with other active substances that eliminate inflammation, relieve pain and promote the healing of cracks. Additional remedies include honey, sea buckthorn or any other vegetable oil, butter, and plant decoctions.
Aloe suppositories for hemorrhoids
A common type of aloe for hemorrhoids is a suppository made from a whole leaf. To make it, break off a long leaf and cut it in half, wash it with running water and cut off the spines. To prepare a candle, cut the resulting workpiece lengthwise and turn it inside out so that the fleshy side is in contact with the rectal mucosa. Insert the prepared suppository a few centimeters inside and leave for 20 minutes. This will relieve pain, eliminate inflammation, and reduce the size of the bumps.
To relieve acute pain, swelling and accelerate the healing of cracks, use ice suppositories made from juice or decoction of leaves. Fold thick paper into a cone, fill it with mixture, and put it in the freezer. Before use, perform a bowel movement, dip the candle in boiling water for a couple of seconds, remove the paper, break off the sharp tip and insert the narrow part 5 cm deep into the anus. Leave for 30 seconds the first time. The suppository is administered 2-3 times a day, increasing the duration by 10 seconds each week until you achieve a result of 1.5 minutes.
Compresses and lotions
Compresses and lotions are used for local effects, relieving inflammation, pain and swelling. They increase blood flow in hemorrhoids and increase the elasticity of the vascular walls. To prepare, take leaves 15 cm long, squeeze the juice or pour boiling water for 15-20 minutes. This will make an infusion. To prepare decoctions, cut the leaves, add 500 ml of water, keep in a water bath for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
The advantages of decoction over infusions are the preservation of the amount of biologically active substances, the absence of changes in composition due to the absence of direct exposure to high temperature. The finished broth needs to be cooled and lotions or compresses made. The latter are distinguished by a long exposure time - 20-40 minutes. To make a compress, fold a piece of gauze, moisten it with warm broth and apply it to the perianal area, cover with plastic wrap. This will help eliminate acute hemorrhoids, exacerbation of a chronic disease, pain and anal fissures.
Lotions differ from compresses in that they do not need to be covered with plastic wrap. Moisten a piece of cotton wool with a healing decoction at room temperature and apply it to the affected areas for 2-3 minutes. Apply lotions after defecation and hygienic washing. If inflammation is present, use tampons. Moisten a piece of bandage or cotton wool with decoction or juice, twist the turunda and insert it a few centimeters deep into the anus. The tampon is inserted for 10-15 minutes.
With the trend toward rapid increases in the cost of medications that have a long list of contraindications and side effects, more people are inclined to use traditional treatments. Aloe occupies a special place among plants used in traditional medicine. We will learn further about the value of homemade flowers, their uses, and their beneficial properties for hemorrhoids.
Aloe is considered the most useful inhabitant of the windowsill. The plant is unpretentious. Wide fleshy leaves make it possible to obtain a lot of medicinal material. Aloe is used in the treatment of hemorrhoids - external and internal. In the chronic version, it is used to prevent exacerbations and relieve inflammation. Gives the expected result with preventive measures.
Why is “normal” constipation dangerous?
Stool retention is not so harmless. Constipation is the cause of many health problems:
- Hemorrhoids worsen, anal fissures appear, and the risk of rectal prolapse is increased - in 7 out of every 10 patients.
- A dysfunction appears - irritable bowel syndrome.
- There are predisposing factors to the development of colitis and allergies.
- The body does not receive the necessary vitamins and minerals.
- The patient becomes irritable, suffers from depression and neurosis.
- Chronic fatigue syndrome is a common concern.
Those who suffer from constipation are at increased risk of:
- diverticulosis of the colon (protrusion and thinning of the intestinal wall) and its complications, up to intestinal perforation and peritonitis - in every fifth
- Intestinal polyps are found in every tenth person
- Colon and rectal cancer affects every 20th person.
Do not take it to extremes - treat constipation in a timely manner.
Hemorrhoids and aloe - how effective is the treatment?
For the treatment of such a specific disease as hemorrhoids, aloe occupies one of the first places among methods using natural ingredients. The medicinal properties of this plant, which can be grown without problems on a home windowsill, can relieve many diseases. The use of aloe is completely harmless to the body, and contraindications that prohibit its use are kept to a minimum.
The effectiveness of the plant lies in its stimulating effect aimed at restoring the immune system, namely:
- improvement of metabolic processes;
- used as an antitumor agent;
- increases the ability to adapt to changing living conditions;
- acts as radioprotectors;
- promotes rapid tissue restoration;
- restores the body's immune defense;
- prevents the development of pathogenic microflora;
- has an effective antibacterial effect.
It has been noticed that the healing of hemorrhoids with the use of aloe occurs more quickly, and during treatment, pain symptoms in patients are significantly reduced
and discomfort that accompany this disease. One of the advantages of the plant is that it can be used without fear by people prone to allergic reactions. Proper use of aloe will not cause harm, even when used in the treatment of hemorrhoids in children.
Aloe is a plant that is part of the group of biogenic stimulants, so its effect is of great importance in preventing the development of infection that may occur in cracks in the anal area or in intestinal wounds.
Beneficial features
Aloe belongs to the group of biogenic stimulants. Substances of high biological activity formed in isolated tissue of plant origin when exposed to unfavorable conditions. Biogenic stimulants, under the right conditions of use, have a wide range of effects on the systems of the human body:
- perform the function of radioprotectors;
- reduce inflammation;
- increase the ability to adapt;
- antitumor effect;
- accelerate tissue regeneration;
- stimulate the immune system;
- antibacterial and antiviral effect.
For hemorrhoids, the use of aloe increases blood flow to the nodes, relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and helps stop bleeding.

Rectal suppositories, microenemas and tampons with aloe vera
The use of aloe suppositories is the most common method, especially helpful in the presence of internal hemorrhoids. They provide:
- anti-inflammatory;
- tonic;
- anesthetic;
- antibacterial effects.
Quickly relieve unpleasant symptoms.
There are several basic ways to make rectal suppositories yourself, at home.
Method 1 (from aloe leaves)
Select a long leaf of agave and cut it. From the fleshiest part, cut a piece no larger than 4 cm. Remove the prickly parts, rinse thoroughly under running water, and dry. Make an incision across, turn it inside out, as it were, so that the inner part is outside and in contact directly with the rectal mucosa. Form a candle. Pre-cleanse the intestines with an enema or laxative so that the active substances act faster. It is best to insert suppositories into the anus before bed, in a knee-elbow position, no more than 5 cm in depth. Proceed carefully, slowly, so as not to cause harm. The duration of the procedure is from 20 to 30 minutes. The number of sessions depends on the condition, but usually 30 days are enough. To enhance the effectiveness, you can dip the suppository in propolis or honey before inserting

Method 2 (ice suppositories)
This method has excellent analgesic properties and is prepared from agave juice.
How to prepare and use:
- prepare fresh plant juice in the manner described in the article above;
- fill pre-prepared forms with it, put it in the freezer;
- For forms, blisters from already used pharmaceutical candles are suitable. If you don’t have any, take regular parchment paper, any thick paper, foil, and make small cones. You can use regular fingertips.
- apply after final hardening;
- before this, pour boiling water over it to remove the paper;
- cut off or break off the sharp tip;
- quickly, within a minute, until the suppository has melted, insert 5 cm into the rectum;
- the first procedure lasts no more than 30 seconds;
- subsequently increase by 10 seconds each time, but do not hold for more than 1.5 minutes.
Place ice candles once a week, 2-3 times a day.
An ice candle can be pre-dipped in pre-prepared liquid honey or propolis.
Method 3 (with lanolin)
- For 1 part of plant juice and pulp, take 4 parts of lanolin.
- Mix in a small bowl.
- Heat in a water bath for 15 minutes, cool.
- Form suppositories from the resulting mass by hand and freeze in the freezer.
Use 1 suppository at night for a month.
Method 4 (with honey)
Mix aloe juice in equal proportions with honey, make candles and freeze.
Honey will enhance the healing properties of agave and allow for a more pronounced therapeutic effect.
Microclysters
Used mainly for internal hemorrhoids. They have an anti-inflammatory effect and ease exacerbations.
How to cook:
- Trim leaves that reach 15 cm or more in length.
- Wash thoroughly and dry.
- Squeeze the pulp obtained with a blender or meat grinder through a sterile bandage or gauze, folded in 3-4 layers.
- For 1 procedure, 30 ml of freshly prepared extract is enough.
It is better to do it before bedtime. Pre-cleanse the intestines of feces, give an enema or do this in advance using a laxative or microenemas based on them.
Using a small bulb, insert the required amount of aloe into the anus. After finishing, lie on your side for at least 15 minutes. Repeat for 20 days.
note
A fresh extract must be prepared every day.
Aloe Vera Tampons
It is advisable to use aloe in the form of tampons when inflammatory processes are localized in the lower part of the rectum during the next exacerbation of the chronic form of the disease or in its acute period.
They act locally and help cope with anal fissures and signs of internal hemorrhoids.
Before the procedure, perform hygienic treatment of the perineal area, wash and dry it.
Preparation:
- Soak a small piece of bandage with extract or decoction and roll it into a tourniquet.
- Insert to a depth of 5 cm into the anus.
After 10-15 minutes, remove and lie quietly for several minutes.
Injections
Ready-made aloe Vera concentrate is sold in pharmacies, including for intramuscular or subcutaneous injections. They are used as prescribed by a doctor who determines treatment regimens. Typically, a full therapeutic course ranges from 30 to 50 injections.
How to care for the suture after surgery?
Once the edges of the incision tighten, there will be no need for additional support. Removal of sutures in the head, face and neck area occurs already on the 5th day after the operation. If they were applied in the area of the torso or limbs, then it will take at least 10 days for the wound to heal. Daily dressings are necessary for the first few days. The patient usually spends this time in the hospital. After discharge, tight bandages are usually no longer needed. But if necessary, you can always change the dressing at the nearest hospital or medical center.
Caring for the suture after surgery consists of daily treating the incision area with an antiseptic and taking medications that accelerate tissue regeneration. All medications for home therapy are used strictly according to the doctor’s recommendation!
Treatment of sutures is usually carried out with ready-made pharmaceutical preparations or homemade antiseptics, such as solutions of iodine, potassium permanganate, brilliant green or hydrogen peroxide. To avoid getting a chemical burn when performing such procedures, the liquid for disinfection should be prepared only according to a prescription issued by a doctor.
To speed up regeneration processes, external agents with wound healing and antibacterial effects are used. These include balsamic liniment (better known as Vishnevsky ointment), levomekol, ichthyol ointment and many others.
Pain of varying intensity after surgery is absolutely normal. If discomfort is severe, analgesics approved by your physician may be used.
How to use aloe for hemorrhoids
It is best to treat aloe hemorrhoids with a plant that is 3-5 years old. Large, fleshy leaves have the best healing effect. Before cutting them, it is recommended not to water the plant for at least 3 days; some sources advise to refrain from watering for 2 weeks. Cut leaves should be wrapped in a light-colored cotton cloth and placed on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator for 5-10 days. This is necessary to activate biostimulants. Can fresh leaves be used and do they help in treating hemorrhoids? Of course yes, but the effect of therapy with them will be much less.
After aloe is infused, it can be used for medicinal purposes. Gel, juice, infusions or decoctions are usually prepared from it.
- Gel. Cut the skin off the flat side of the leaf and scrape out the flesh with a spoon. In order for the product to acquire a more uniform consistency, it can be ground through a sieve.
- Juice. Grind the leaves of the plant using a blender or passing through a meat grinder. Place the resulting mass in gauze folded in 3-4 layers and squeeze it out. It is advisable to use fresh juice as it has the greatest number of healing properties. If it is not possible to make juice daily, its shelf life can be extended by boiling for 3 minutes.
- Decoction. Place about 4 aloe leaves in a small saucepan and fill them with 0.5 liters of water. Place the container in a water bath and heat for a quarter of an hour. After cooling, strain the broth.
- Infusion. Pour boiling water over the crushed leaves and leave for 20 minutes to infuse.
The last two remedies are usually used for topical treatment of hemorrhoids at home. They are suitable for preparing sitz baths, microenemas, compresses, tampons, and lotions.
Compresses and lotions
Lotions and compresses are used for external nodes. Apply them to problem areas for at least 20 minutes. It is often recommended to leave such products on all night. In this case, they should be secured with adhesive tape. Let's look at a few recipes:
- Fold a piece of bandage or gauze several times, soak it in decoction or aloe juice, apply it to the hemorrhoids and cover with a film on top. Such compresses are especially effective for exacerbation of hemorrhoids.
- Mix a spoonful of agave juice with sea buckthorn oil. Soak a piece of cotton wool in the mixture and apply it to the anal area. You can do this lotion three times a day.
- Mix butter, honey and aloe pulp, ground through a sieve, in equal quantities. Apply the mixture to gauze and apply to the nodes.
Suppositories and tampons
In case of exacerbation of internal nodes, aloe suppositories for hemorrhoids are quite effective. There are several recipes for such remedies:
- Remove the thorns from a piece of a large agave leaf and then cut them lengthwise. Turn the resulting plate out so that the pulp is on the outside. The suppository is ready.
- To make these candles you will need aloe juice. Make cone-shaped molds from thick paper, pour the juice mixed with pulp into them, and place in the freezer. You can also use rubber fingertips as molds. To achieve a more pronounced effect, you can use honey and aloe together. To do this, mix liquid honey with juice in equal proportions and pour the resulting mixture into molds.
- Tampons can be a good alternative to suppositories. To make them, roll cotton wool or gauze into a tight rope and soak it in aloe juice. Tampons can also be made from the pulp of the plant - a suitable piece of pulp is cut from the leaf and wrapped in gauze.
The above folk remedies for hemorrhoids should be injected into the rectum every day at night just before bed. After this, no active actions can be taken. Ice suppositories should be administered for only 30 seconds at first and gradually increase the time they remain in the intestines.
Taking the drug internally
In addition to softening stool, regular consumption of aloe will help strengthen the walls of blood vessels and restore their elasticity, improve digestion and enhance intestinal motility.
Aloe juice is usually used for oral administration. It should be consumed three times a day on an empty stomach in the amount of 1 teaspoon. A mixture of honey and aloe juice will have a more pronounced therapeutic effect. To get rid of the symptoms of hemorrhoids, these products should be mixed in equal quantities and taken a tablespoon 30 minutes before meals.
